GILES COUNTY MAN DIES IN CRASH

A 39-year-old man died Tuesday in a single-vehicle accident near his Giles County home.

Gary James Robertson Sr. died at the scene of the accident in the Maybrook section of the county about 9:30 p.m., a state police spokesman said.

Robertson's pickup truck ran off the right shoulder of Virginia 783 into a guard rail, throwing him from the truck, police said.
