`ADOPT A HIGHWAY' NO LICENSE TO LITTER

THIS BEING such a scenic state, we should all be proud to keep it clean. When you see an "Adopt a Highway" sign about a road we volunteer to keep clean, this doesn't give anyone the right to open a car window and throw out the trash, especially dirty diapers and condoms.

I'm sure everyone is educated enough to know what dumpsters are made for. So use them. What happened to pride and self-respect? Think twice and help us keep our highways clean. ROSE LAMOUREUX HUDDLESTON
