Jane Wray Starkey, age 78, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord Monday. She was a member and former Sunday School teacher at Calvery Memorial Church. Surviving are husband, Clarence Thomas Starkey; a daughter, Martha Starkey Grinnan, Luray; two grandchildren, Thomas L. Grinnan, Shannon E. Grinnan; two sisters, Ella Nunley, Boones Mill; Eula Kendrick, Roanoke; a brother, Dallas Wray, Kite, Ky.; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday from Oakey's Roanoke Chapel with Rev. Larry Eenigenburg officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Boones Mill. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Calvary Memorial Church (2226 Colonial Ave. S.W., Roanoke, VA 24015). Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
