OBIT DISHON, T.
DISHON, THOMAS E.Thomas Everette Dishon, age 87, passed away Wednesday evening in the Radford Community Hospital. He was born in Snowville on April 3, 1904 to the late Thomas D. Dishon and Sarah Ellen Simpkins Dishon. Mr. Dishon was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Stike Dishon, three brothers, Lonnie Dishon, Harley French Dishon, and Roy Freeman Dishon. For a number of years, he worked in the coal fields of W. Va. In 1935 he returned to Snowville community where he became a farmer and lumber inspector. He had also served as Justice of the Peace for the Snowville precinct. He was a member of the Snowville Baptist Church having served as a deacon and in other leadership capacities. Mr. Dishon is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Garnie F. and Fay Dishon, Radford; C. Duane and Maxine S. Dishon, Pulaski; four grandsons, Richard F. Dishon, Dublin; Todd and Brian Dishon, Radford; Clay Dishon, Pulaski; two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Grace and Andrew Dishon, Dublin; four sisters, Eurella Bishop, Roanoke; Betty Phillips, Snowville; Mae Marshall and Laura Graham, Radford. Also surviving is one brother, William Alvis Dishon, Snowville. Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday from the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with the Rev. Sammy Shoaf and the Rev. Clayton Sweet officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Friends may call anytime Friday at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski and the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday. Funeral arrangements by Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski.
