TESKE, PEGGY M.

Peggy Marie Macomber Teske, age 79, died Wednesday, January 1, 1992, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on September 25, 1912, to the late Linn Wilson Macomber and Maude Marie Dekker Macomber. She was a 1932 graduate of Michigan State University and moved to Blacksburg in 1936. Mrs. Teske was also one of the founders of the VA Tech Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. Surviving are her husband, August Frank Teske, Sr.; three sons, August Frank Teske, Jr., Blacksburg; Richard H. Teske, McLean, Va.; Charles M. Teske, Blacksburg; six grandchildren, Eric Teske, Dee Teske, Shawn Teske, Mike Fedora, Jennifer Teske, and Charles Michael Teske; two great-grandchildren, Cara Marie Teske and Richard Wayne Fedora. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, at Hoy-McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Hugh Springer will officiate. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the Blacksburg Rescue Squad, 200 Progress Street, N. W., Blacksburg, Virginia 24060 or the New River Valley Hospice, Inc., 1860 Price's Fork Road, Blacksburg, Virginia 24060. The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Hoy-McCoy Funeral Home.
