KING, EDWARD O., JR.Edward Oscar King, Jr., age 66, of 2401 Pleasant Hill Drive, Pulaski, died Wednesday night in the Pulaski Community Hospital. He was born in Roanoke, Virginia on November 23, 1925 and was the son of the late Edward Oscar King, Sr. and Raimey Pinnix King. Mr. King was a local real estate broker for many years in Pulaski. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. having served during World War II. He was a member of the Pulaski Elks Lodge, the Pulaski American Legion Post and the Pulaski VFW. He was a member of the 6th Marine Div. Association, Inc. and a past Director of the Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce. He was also a member of the Board of Zoning Appeals of Pulaski County. Surviving are his wife, Betty Scheff King, Pulaski; son and daughter-in-law, Edward Oscar (Chip) King, III and Janie S. King, Pulaski; son, Corey Scott King, Pulaski; mother-in-law, Mrs. A. J. Scheff, Pulaski. A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. from the Stevens Funeral Chapel with Dr. James Sorrell officiating. Visiting will be held Saturday evening at Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Gayle Long-Memorial Chairman, Pulaski County Unit ACS, 361 Longview Court, Pulaski, VA 24301 or to the charity of one's choice.
