VEST, JOHN E.

John E. (Sonny) Vest, age 81, of Roanoke, died Thursday in a local hospital. He was retired from General Motor Lines. Surviving are his wife Mary Gregory Vest; two sisters, Etha Dishman of Roanoke; Dorris Savoy of Springfield, Mass.; one brother, Harry W. Vest of Roanoke. Funeral services will be at the graveside at Fairview Cemetery, 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 6, 1992, with the Rev. Frank W. Feather officiating. The family will receive friends at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
