DINWIDDIE, THOMAS, H.Thomas Henry Dinwiddie, age 89 of Route 7, passed away Thursday, January 2, 1992 in the Bedford County Memorial Hospital. He was born August 28, 1902 in Bedford County, a son of the late Winston T. Dinwiddie and Mettie Mattox Dinwiddie. He was a retired employee of the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation and was a member of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Roberts Dinwiddie; three sons, Thomas Eugene Dinwiddie, Mathews; Robert James Dinwiddie, Henry Davis Dinwiddie, both of Bedford; one daughter, Betty Ann Blankenship, Vinton; Sandra Wright, Madison Heights, Va.; three brothers, Gilbert Dinwiddie, Winston Dinwiddie, both of Moneta; James Dinwiddie, Newport News; two sisters, Virginia Robertson, Forest; Juanita Parker, Newport News; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 4, 1992 at 2:00 p.m. from the Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford, by the Rev. Riley Smith, Jr. Interment will be in the Virginia Memorial Park.
