OFFICIALS WANT POWER TO TAX NASCAR EVENT
Officials in Henrico County want authority from the General Assembly to tax sporting events that draw 20,000 or more spectators.
If approved by the Legislature, such a measure would allow the county to tax admission at Richmond International Raceway.
County manager William F. LaVecchia sought support for the proposal Thursday night from Henrico's delegation to the assembly.
