BOTETOURT CAR CRASH KILLS GOODVIEW TEEN

A 15-year-old Goodview girl died Thursday night in a single-car accident in Botetourt County, state police said Friday.

Erin Leigh Franklin was a passenger in a car driven by Christopher Reed Routh, police said.

The car was traveling south on Virginia 605 about 10:25 p.m. when it ran off the left side of the road, struck some trees and overturned, police said. The accident occurred one-fifth of a mile north of Alternate U.S. 220.

Franklin died at the scene.
