FIZER, GLENN G., SR.
Glenn Grayson Fizer Sr., age 91, of Route 6, passed away Friday, January 3, 1992, in the Bedford County Memorial Hospital. He was born December 12, 1900, in Bedford County, a son of the late George H. Fizer and Florence Woodford Fizer. He was a retired farmer and was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. His wife was the late Grace Zimmerman Fizer. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. W.C. (Doris) Whitely, Altavista; Mrs. Robert F. (Nancy) Selden, Charlottesville; Mrs. Brad (Louise) Moore, Norfolk; Mrs. William (Phyllis) Bennett, Lancaster, S.C.; one son, Glenn G. Fizer Jr., Bedford; one stepson, William H. Conn, Charlottesville; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, January 5, 1992, at 3:00 p.m. from the Updike Funeral Chapel by the Rev. John Buck. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, Route 6, Box 311, Bedford, Va., or your favorite charity.
