DURGIN-ADDINGTON
Elizabeth Addington and Douglas Durgin were married December 28, 1991 in
Our Lady of Nazareth Catholic Church. The officiating clergyman was Father
Kenneth Stofft. The reception was held at the Jefferson Club. The maid of
honor was Karen Walters, college friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were
Darcy Lee, sister of the bride; Leslie Miller, sister of the bride; and
Deborah Durgin, sister of the groom. Flowergirls were Lindsey Lee, niece of
the bride; Leigh Anne Varney, cousin of the bride; Tracey Franco, niece of the
groom; and Laine Elizabeth Durgin, niece of the groom. The best man was Tony
Danesi, college friend of the groom. The ushers were Denis Durgin, brother of
the groom; Jack Dziak and Cary Chipouras, friends of the groom. Junior ushers
were Preston Hess and Ricky Hess, nephews of the bride. The guestbook was
attended by Mary Beth Varney, cousin of the bride. The bride wore a beautiful
candlelight satin gown adorned in iridescent beaded appliques with high beaded
neckline extending into fitted basque heavily beaded bodice with long fitted
heavily beaded sleeves, full puff at the shoulder, and long flowing cathedral
length train adorned in beaded cut out appliques accented by Alencon lace and
sequined border. She carried a cascade bouquet of roses, poinsettias and ivy
accented with beaded pearls. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel
D. Addington of Roanoke. She is a graduate of Bluefield High School, received
her B.A. from Georgetown College and her Masters degree from Cal State
University, Northridge. She is employed by the Muscular Dystrophy Association
and has accepted transfer/promotion to Director of the Washington, D.C.
Chapter. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lane Durgin of Vienna, Va. He is
a graduate of Virginia Tech and is employed by the government as an economist.
The newlyweds will live in Fairfax, Va.
