MILLER-MIDGETTE

Alicia Dawn Midgette and Nathan Wyatt Miller were married Saturday, January 4, 1992 in Colonial Baptist Church in Blue Ridge. The officiating clergyman was Rev. Don Eade.

The maid of honor was Miss Jodi Smith, friend of the bride. The matron of honor was Mrs. Debbie Midgette, mother of the bride. The flowergirl was MissAimee Sligh of Covington, niece of the groom. The best man was Rev. Nathan Miller of Natural Bridge, father of the groom. The groomsman was Mike Bratton of Fort Bragg, N.C., friend of the groom. The ushers were Dale Hollins of Lynchburg and Troy Hicks of Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, friends of the groom. The ringbearer was Patrick Ahern of Blue Ridge. The guestbook was attended by Cheryl Tablett; bulletins were presented by Kelly Stanley.

The bride wore a white satin & Schiffli lace gown adorned with seed pearls and apalescent sequins. The gown featured a fitted bodice with an antebellum waistline and an elegant key-hole back edged with cameo lace appliques. The train was chapel length with inset ruffle tiers. She wore a tiara of sequins and pearls with a back pouff of pearls and a double layer of tulle, draping to the waistline. She carried a bouquet of white roses with pearls and lace.

The attendants wore black velvet dresses, short in the front with a full length train in the back, adorned with pearl and clear Austrian crystal earrings and a matching pin at the waist. They carried a single long-stemmed red velvet rose with white satin streamers.

A reception was held in the church fellowship hall, featuring a multi-tiered white wedding cake trimmed in black. Black and white decorations were used throughout the fellowship hall. Reception attendants were Rosebud Bowman, Tracy Heath, Missy Moody, Shannon Ahern, and Mrs. Pat Martin, Caterer. Mrs. Linda Ahern of Blue Ridge, directed the wedding.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Midgette of Blue Ridge. She is a graduate of Lord Botetourt High School and attended Radford University. The bridegroom, son of Rev. and Mrs. Nathan Miller of Natural Bridge, formerly of Hot Springs, is a graduate of Bath County High School. The bridegroom is presently serving in the United State Marine Corps.

The newlyweds will live in Honolulu, Hawaii following a brief honeymoon.
