Lisa Marie Murphy and Ronald Lee Salyer, II were married January 1, 1992 in
Windsor Hills Baptist Church. The officiating clergyman was Rev. Wessley C.
Patterson, Uncle of the Bride assisted by Rev. Lawrence Dodson. The reception
was held at the church fellowship hall. Matron of honor was Tonya Saunders,
friend of bride. Bridesmaids were Anita Stinson and Mary Katherin Salyer,
sisters of the groom; Brenda Holstrom, friend of the bride. Flowergirl was
Casey Cornett. Best man was Ronald Lee Salyer, father of the groom. Ushers
were Tracy Salyer and Chris Salyer, cousins of groom; Greg Stinson,
brother-in-law of groom; Keith Patterson, cousin of bride. Junior Usher was
Dustin Patterson, cousin of bride. The bride's gown was white satin and lace
with pearls and sequins, Victorian style. The bride is a daughter of Ms. Joan
Murphy and Mr. John Murphy, of Roanoke. She is a graduate of Northside High
School. The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Lee Salyer, Roanoke, is a
graduate of Cave Spring High School. The bridegroom is a Third Class Petty
Officer in the United States Navy. The newlyweds will live in Roanoke after a
Virginia wedding trip.
