THOMPSON-PUTNEY
Ann Holland Putney and Kris Randall Thompson were married December 28,
1991, in Bedford Baptist Church with Dr. Howard V. Pendley officiating. The
reception was held at Bedford Country Club. The maid of honor was Annette
Dalton of Forest, Va. The bridesmaids were Sally J. Hall, Laura V. Woods,
Holly S. Woods, Diane C. Bailey, Bobbie L. Johnson, Anne H. Rucker and Crystal
B. Painter. The flowergirls were Katherine A. Bennett and Sarah A. Shannon.
Brother of the groom, Kurt S. Thompson, was best man. The ushers were Mark Y.
Williamson; John K. Putney, brother of the bride; David V. Conner; J. Scott
Ewers; Jeffrey S. Dudley; James A. Smith; and Richard J. Sterne. The
ringbearer was Lacey E. Putney, III. The guestbook was attended by Felicia A.
Halstead. Special music was performed by Jeff Cole and trumpet player, Paul
DeBoer. The bride wore a gown of ivory silk with pearls and carried a bouquet
of ivory roses and gardenias. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Macon
Cobb Putney of Bedford. She graduated from Randolph-Macon Woman's College,
certification in early childhood education, Lynchburg College. She is employed
by Metro Delta Head Start, Baltimore Md., as a teacher. The groom is the son
of Mrs. Josephine E. Thompson of Lynchburg and the late Warren R. Thompson. He
graduated from Virginia Tech, civil engineering, and is employed by Faisant
Associates, Inc., Structural Engineer in Baltimore. The newlyweds will live in
Columbia, Md., after the wedding trip to Mountain Lake Resort and a Caribbean
cruise.
