Roy Carnett Woods, age 73, of Roanoke County, died Friday, January 3, 1992. Roy was a member and life time deacon at Poages Mill Church of the Brethren. He was owner of Floors by Roy C. Woods, Inc. and had been in the business for fifty years. Surviving are his wife, Peggy Musser Woods; two sons and daughter-in-law, Danny L. and Susan Woods, Roger A. Woods, all of Roanoke County; a daughter, Rhonda Sue Woods, Roanoke County; two sisters and brother-in-law, Ruby and Ezra Light, Roanoke County; Margaret Leftwich, Big Island, Va.; two grandsons, Chris Woods and his wife, Michelle and Joshua Lee Ridgeway; several devoted brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's South Chapel Monday, January 6, 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Maurice E. Wright officiating. Interment in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Building Fund at Poages Mill Church of the Brethren. Friends may call at Oakey's South Chapel.
