STINNETT, JOE E., SR.

EAGLE ROCK - Joe Eldridge Stinnett Sr., age 82, died in the Alleghany Regional Hospital Saturday night. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Fannie Lyle Stinnett, Eagle Rock; five daughters, Mrs. Milton (JoAnn) Spangler, Buchanan; Mrs. Douglas (Sylvia) Mason, Buchanan; Mrs. Cecil (Angelia) Bryant, Covington; Mrs. Carole Sue Hayslett, Covington; Mrs. Robert (Kathy) Agnor, Arlington; one son, Joe E. Stinnett Jr., Eagle Rock; two sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Mary) Bosserman, Covington; Mrs. Raymond (Betty) Peery, Buchanan; two brothers, Walter Stinnett, Lynchburg; Bennie Stinnett, Eagle Rock; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Mr. Stinnett was retired from the Lone Star Cement Plant and was a member of the American Legion. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 7, at 2:00 p.m. in the Eagle Rock Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Eagle Rock Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 at the funeral home. Memorial donations to the Eagle Rock Rescue Squad would be appreciated.
