NATURAL BRIDGE - Ora Miller Swartz, age 87, died Saturday, January 4, 1992, in the Stonewall Jackson Hospital. Mrs. Swartz was born April 14, 1904, in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late James P. Miller and Minnie Owens Miller. She was a member of the Broad Creek A.R.P. Church where she served with the Women of the Church and taught the Golden Rule Sunday School Class for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry A. Swartz Sr. Surviving are a son, Harry A. Swartz Jr., Natural Bridge; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Marguerite) Williams, Forest; Mrs. Billy (Dorothy) Arndt, Natural Bridge; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 7, 1992, at the Broad Creek A.R.P. Church officiated by the Rev. Roy W. Swisher. Burial will follow in the Miller Family Cemetery. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Broad Creek A.R.P. Church or the Glasgow First Aid Crew. The family will receive friends at the home of her son, Harry Swartz Jr. at any time.
