FISHER, NORMA J.

Norma Jennings Fisher, age 67, of Roanoke died Saturday, January 4, 1992. Mrs. Fisher was retired from General Electric and was a member of Grandin Court Baptist Church. She was the widow of Oscar H. Fisher Jr. and was preceded in death by her mother, Beulah B. Johns. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Gary L. and Roberta Farmer, Nashville, Tenn.; her daughters and son-in-law, Judy F. and Harold M. Bates, Salem; Marcia F. Mabe, Roanoke; her grandchildren, Kimberly H. Williamson, Phoenix, Ariz.; Geoffrey L. Farmer, Murfreesboro, Tenn.; Michelle M. Storer, Indianapolis, Ind.; Robert M. Farmer, Nashville, Tenn.; her sisters and brother-in-law, Dorothy J. Ling, Raleigh, N.C.; Peggy J. and Jerry Thompson, Roanoke; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold C. and Nita Jennings, Vance W. and Louise Jennings, all of Roanoke; Melvin D. and Betty Jennings, Bellevue, Ohio; stepchildren and spouses, Lynn and Wayne McKenzie, Sarasota, Fla.; Mike and Lisa Fisher, Long Beach, Calif.; stepgrandsons, Steven and John McKenzie; two aunts, Josephine VanBibber, Dorothy Reed, both of Roanoke; many special friends. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel Tuesday, January 7, 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Robert M. Hamner and the Rev. J. Landon Maddex officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive friends Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
