LIONS, KRAMER PLAYED THEIR CARDS JUST RIGHT

Erik Kramer knows how to play poker. He knows about playing the cards he is dealt. He knows about keeping a straight face.

He did just that in leading the Detroit Lions to a 38-6 playoff win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.

"I was surprised that Dallas stayed in that defense," Kramer said. "It was the same defense they used in the first game against us, during the regular season. That was obviously their game plan all the way.

"The linebackers were up. They obviously wanted to take Barry Sanders away from us. The passing lanes were unbelievably open."

The Cowboys held Sanders to 69 yards on 12 carries, 47 on a fourth-quarter touchdown run. That left Kramer time to complete 29 of 38 passes for 341 yards and three touchdowns.

It was a career day in both catches and yardage for Willie Green and Herman Moore. Green caught eight passes for 115 yards. His previous bests were seven catches against Minnesota and 91 yards against the New York Jets, both earlier this season. Moore caught six passes for 87 yards and his first NFL score.

"I wrote this down in a journal that I keep," Green said.
