OBIT ROBERTSON, C. PEMBROKE
ROBERTSON, CHARLIE G.Charlie Glen Robertson, 79, died Monday morning at his home. Born in Pembroke, Va. on July 25, 1912, he was the son of the late Kyle and Bessie Willis Robertson. He was a retired employee of Hoechst-Celanese Company in Narrows. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, New River Ward where he served as an elder and was active in all the functions of the church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dessie Kathleen Tawney Robertson. Surviving are his wife, Edith Rowland Robertson; his daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Eugene Shrader of Pembroke; a grandson and wife, Vincent and Michelle Stone Shrader of Provo, Utah; three brothers, Homer D. Robertson of Dillwyn; George Robertson and Thomas Robertson, both of Pembroke; one sister, Ilene R. Epperly of Pembroke. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in the New River Ward Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Pembroke, Va. Bishop Ted Johnson, Jr. will be presiding. Burial will be in Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Kendall Funeral Home, Pembroke Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
