OBIT PERKINS, C.
PERKINS, C. WILSONC. Wilson Perkins, age 86 of Roanoke, died Monday in Raleigh Court Health Care Center. He was a member of Raleigh Court United Methodist Church for the past twelve years and was a former long time member of West End United Methodist Church. Mr. Perkins was retired from the Norfolk and Western Railway, a member of Lakeland Lodge #190 A.F.&A.M., a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies, and a member of the Kazim Shrine Temple, where he was a past member of the Chanters. Surviving are his wife, Florrie Southall Perkins; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Frances and David Rose, North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a son and daughter-in-law, Preston C. and Lorraine Perkins, Roanoke; a brother, Linwood C. Perkins, Chester, Penn.; four granddaughters, and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday from Oakey's Roanoke Chapel with Dr. Gregory L. Adkins officiating. Interment with masonic honors will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Raleigh Court United Methodist Church Foundation, 1706 Grandin Road, S.W., Roanoke, Va. 24015, or the West End United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 13th St. & Campbell Ave., S.W., Roanoke, Va. 24016.
