TECH WOMEN GIVE COACH 200TH VICTORY

Virginia Tech took Carol Alfano to a milestone Monday night, giving the women's basketball coach her 200th career victory, 62-42 over William and Mary.

Alfano has won 186 games in her 14 seasons at Tech.

Eleven of 12 players scored for the Hokies (5-5), which beat the Tribe for the ninth consecutive time. The Hokies took the lead in the first half while their rotation had four freshmen in the game.

W&M is 1-8.
