MAN SHOT IN NECK; SUSPECT CHARGED

A 32-year-old Roanoke man was in Roanoke Memorial Hospital on Monday after being shot in the neck late Sunday.

Police found Phillip Todd Martin, 32, lying in the parking lot of a Northwest Roanoke restaurant about 11:45 p.m.

Police said Martin and another man had argued earlier in the evening.

Eric Ricardo Taylor, 22, of Old Spanish Trace Northwest was charged Monday with malicious wounding.

Martin, whose condition was being withheld by the hospital, was indicted Monday by a Roanoke Circuit Court grand jury on charges.
