GISH, ELMER H., SR.

Dr. Elmer Hunter Gish, Sr., age 72, of Powhatan, died Monday, January 6, 1992. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Agnes Evans Gish; one daughter, Deborah Ann Gish of Mechanicsville; two sons, E. Hunter Gish, Jr. and Michael M. Gish, both of Richmond; one stepdaughter, Julie M. Gish of Powhatan; one stepson, Gregory F. Pastor of Berlin, Md.; one sister, Wanda Gish Soland of San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Gish was retired Director of Planning and Development for Richmond City Public Schools after 26 years of service, a veteran of WWII, the Korean Conflict and the Berlin Crisis. He retired from the U.S. Army after 23 years of service. The remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd., Midlothian, Va., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Reveille United Methodist Church. Interment in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton, Va., at 3:00 p.m.
