POFF, EVELYN W.Mrs. Evelyn Wimmer Poff, age 88, formerly of Floyd County, died Monday in a Roanoke hospital. She was the widow of Ennis Poff and is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert Nelson, Sr. and Millie Poff, with whom she made her home in Roanoke; son and daughter-in-law, Milton E. and Mary Edith Poff, Vinton; daughters and sons-in-law, Edith P. Flint, Roanoke; Lottie P. and Eston Radford, Floyd; Lillian P. and Tildon Oyler, Roanoke; 19 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Frank and Myrtle Poff, Tidy Mills and Edna Poff, all of Roanoke; also surviving are many nieces and nephews including special niece, Florence Poff King, Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted at Copper Hill Church of the Brethren, 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 1992 with Rev. Doug Jones and Rev. Frank Wimmer officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Lotz Roanoke Chapel.
