BOWMAN, VERNON V.

Vernon V. Bowman, age 88, passed away Monday at his home. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Verna Webb Bowman; one son, Jack Bowman, Hillsville; three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Brady, Atlanta, Ga.; Mrs. Benice Strickland, Va. Beach.; Mrs. Ethel Martin, Hillsville; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will Thursday, January 9, 1992 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rome Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. John B. Bowman officiating with the interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Vaughan-Guynn McGrady Chapel.
