MCCORMICK, JANIS L.

Janis Lackey McCormick, age 62, died Monday in Stonewall Jackson Hospital. She was born April 10, 1929 in Los Angeles, Calif., a daughter of Lillian Hickman Snead of Lexington and the late Samuel Rolford Lackey. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Baxter McCormick, Jr. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Worley L. McCoy (Barbara) and Mrs. Dennis J. Shaw (Alma) both of Lexington; one sister, Mrs. Richard Plogger (Linda), Lexington; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, January 9, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lomax Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Lomax Funeral Home.
