SHIVELY, EMMETT J.

Mr. Emmett James (Pig) Shively, age 72, of Route 3, died Monday, January 6, 1992 in the Rocky Mount Hospital. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicky Shively Minter. Surviving are his wife, Geneva Jones Shively; two daughters, Bonnie Greenawalt, Pottstown, Pa.; Patricia S. Davis, Ferrum; one son, Roger C. Shively, Rocky Mount; five sisters, Moda Gillispie, Roanoke; Lola Johnston, Martinsville; Vira Shively, Betty Martin and Nannie Trail, all of Ferrum; two brothers, J. M. Shively and Junior C. Shively, both of Ferrum; three granddaughters and four grandsons. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in Lynch Chapel, with the Rev. Jeff Carico officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Friends may call at Lynch Funeral Home, Rocky Mount after 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, where the family will be from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Ferrum Rescue Squad.
