BOXING GREATS ELECTED TO HALL OF FAME

Trainer Angelo Dundee, Ken Norton and a foursome of international punchers are among 29 people to be inducted into the Boxing Hall of Fame this summer in Canastota, N.Y.

Along with Norton, the honorees from the modern-era were Alexis Arguello of Nicaragua, Nino Bevenuti of Italy, Max Schmeling of Germany, Eder Jofer of Brazil and Americans Charley Burley and Billy Graham.

\ Athletes from the former Soviet Union will form one team at the Winter Olympics in Albertville, France, next month, using a new name and the Olympic flag and anthem, officials said. Alexander Kozlowsky, deputy president of the former Soviet Olympic Committee, said the former republics will compete under the name "United Team." They will use the abbreviation EUN - the initials for Equipe Unie, or United Team, in French.
