Daisy Elizabeth (Betty) Blackman Parrott, age 64, died Tuesday, January 7, 1992, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was born at Goodwins Ferry, Virginia on April 24, 1927, to the late Leon Hardford Blackman and Daisy Dean McMahan Blackman. She was a retired employee of Electro-Tec Corporation in Blacksburg with more than twenty years service. Surviving are two daughters, Belva P. Cochran, Blacksburg; Gloria (Ann) P. Reed, Lake Worth, Florida; grandchildren and granddaughters-in-law, Tony and Amy Reed, Christiansburg; Robbie and Lynn Flowers, Madison Heights, Michigan; Betina Reed, Blacksburg; Tonya Cochran and Donna Flowers, both of Perrysburg, Ohio; Bobby John Parrott, South Lyon, Michigan; granddaughter-in-law, Rhonda Underwood, Riner; stepgranddaughter, Candis Shupe, Florence, S.C.; brother, Richard L. Blackman, Bamburg, S.C.; daughter-in-law, Linda Parrott, South Lyon, Michigan; stepdaughters, Tina Shupe and Linda Parrott, Florence, S.C. Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Friday, January 10, at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel, Blacksburg. The Rev. Glenn M. Griffith will officiate. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
