TAG DEADLINE JAN. 31 IN CHRISTIANSBURG

Dog owners must purchase 1992 dog tags by Jan. 31 or there will be a minimum $42 fine on Feb. 1 or after.

Tags are on sale in the Montgomery County Treasurer's office at the Montgomery County courthouse, and at the Town Finance office in the Blacksburg Municipal Building.

A valid rabies vaccination certificate must be presented. The fee is $5 for male or female dogs, $3 for spayed or neutered dogs, $25 for a kennel for 20 dogs and $35 for a kennel of 50 dogs.
