2 TO SEEK RE-ELECTION TO VINTON TOWN COUNCIL
Two Vinton Town Council members will be seeking election in May, but the mayor, whose seat is open for election, has not announced his decision.
Councilman Ray Sandifer announced Tuesday, after a council meeting, that he's seeking another term. Sandifer was elected to council in 1988.
Councilman Robert Altice said Wednesday he plans to seek another term, but will not make a formal announcement until later. Altice, who has served as vice mayor, has been on council 16 years.
Mayor Charles Hill, also on council 16 years - 12 as mayor - said he will not make his decision public until later.
