WOODFORD, SADIE A.

MONTVALE - Sadie A. Woodford, 73, of Route 1, died Wednesday, January 8, 1992 in Lewis-Gale Hospital in Salem. She was born in Bedford County on October 4, 1918, a daughter of the late Henry Shep Woodford and Lillian May Kirby Woodford. She was the widow of Penn Edwin Woodford. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara W. and Jerry W. Giles, Montvale; a sister, Pauline W. Craig, Bedford; three grandchildren, Kecia C. Conley, Troutville, Dina L. Cahow, Thaxton, Mark O. Cahow, Bedford; three great-grandchildren, Jordon Cahow, Joshua Cahow, both of Thaxton, Taylor Cahow, Bedford. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 11, 1992 at 2:00 p.m. at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth F. Fogus officiating. Burial will follow in Virginia Memorial Park. The family suggests those wishing to make memorials consider the Montvale Rescue Squad or the American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford.
