DEFIBAUGH, PHILIP A.IRON GATE - Philip Alonzo Defibaugh, age 68 of Iron Gate, died Wednesday, January 8, 1992 at the Roanoke Rehabilitation Center. He was the son of the late Alonza Guy and Lula Hall defibaugh, a retired machinist helper for CSX Transportation. He is survived by his wife, Lena Harris Defibaugh; three daughters, Margaret Roden and Joyce Leftwich both of Roanoke; Martha Defibaugh, Iron Gate; three sons, James Defibaugh, Covington; Harold W. Defibaugh, Glen Wilton, Willard E. Defibaugh, Roanoke; four sisters, Evelyne Rose, Chicago, Ill.; Ollie Wilcher, Salem; Doris Luchard, Chesapeake; Sadie Mays, Millboro; one brother, Robert Defibaugh, Clifton Forge; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home Chapel, Clifton Forge with Mr. Tommy Blewett and Rev. Garlin Strouth officiating. Interment to follow in the Alleghany Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home.
