MEDICAL DECISIONS ARE HOSPITALS' FORUM TOPICS

Radford Community and Saint Albans Psychiatric hospitals are sponsoring community forums on "Making Life and Death Medical Decisions" to inform people about the federal Patient Self-Determination Act.

The meetings will be held Jan. 28, 2-3:30 p.m., and Jan. 30, 7-8:30 p.m. at Saint Albans' conference center.

The featured speaker is G.C. Duck, director of patient family services and a member of the Radford Community Hospital ethics committee.

People are encouraged to discuss their options with families and physicians before a decision is needed.
