BOWLES, CLYDE

Clyde Bowles, age 84, of Roanoke, died Thursday at his residence. Mr. Bowles was a retired Trailways Bus driver and an Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Melvie Holland Bowles in 1974. Surviving are his wife, Frances Bowles; a son, Glenn Allen Bowles, Vinton; two grandchildren, Laurie Michelle Bowles and April Danielle Bowles; two sisters, Alma Bowles Moran and Chappie Bowles Firebaugh, both of Rocky Mount; two brothers, Shannon Bowles and Carlton Bowles, both of Rocky Mount. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 1992, at Lotz Roanoke Chapel with the Rev. Carter L. Sloan officiating. Interment in Mountain View Memorial Park, Boones Mill, Va. The family will receive friends at Lotz Roanoke Chapel Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
