OBIT REED, C.

REED, CATHERINE B. Catherine Belle Reed, 74, died Thursday, January 9 in Stonewall Jackson Hospital. She was born in Rockbridge County on October 14, 1917, a daughter of the late Rhudy Hutton and Emma Catherine (Kate) Wilson Reed. She was a retired nurse. She is survived by two brothers, George M. Reed, Natural Bridge; Ralph H. Reed, Roanoke; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from the Lomax Funeral Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 13 with the Rev. Glenn Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Roanoke at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday at Lomax Funeral Home, Buena Vista.
