RAFT CRISIS CENTER SEEKING VOLUNTEERS
Sue was suffering the loss of a loved one. David was suicidal. John needed emergency shelter. Robert has a substance-abuse problem.What do all of these people have in common? They have all been helped by the RAFT Community Crisis Center, a New River Valley Community Services Board program that has been providing free, confidential crisis intervention for 23 years.
Volunteers are needed in a number of areas, including the center's 24-hour crisis hot line. Winter training begins Jan. 28. For more information, call 382-1738.
