F. EDWARD HARRIS, president of Crestar Bank's Western Region, has been elected president of the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce.Harris began his banking career as a management trainee for United Virginia Bank, now Crestar, in Norfolk. He became president of the bank's Newport News unit in 1979, United Virginia Bank Western Region executive vice president in 1982 and Western Region president in 1984.
Harris holds a bachelor's degree from the College of William and Mary, and finished additional studies at the University of Virginia, Rutgers University and the University of Oklahoma.

\ WILLIAM D. WELLS, vice president, has been named by Crestar Bank as small business credit underwriter for its newly formed Western Region Small Business Group. This new area of the bank is being developed to support Crestar branches by underwriting credit to small businesses.
\ THOMAS J. BERGER has been named vice president and branch administrator for Southern National Bank's offices in Lumberton, N.C. He was formerly retail division manager, responsible for the retail lending operations of 14 banking offices.\ \ LAW

\ BILL SIBBICK has been promoted to vice president and senior product manager by Stanley Furniture in Stanleytown. He will be responsible for coordinating and developing new product introductions for all Stanley lines. In addition, he will manage current in-line product as it relates to establishing and monitoring quality standards and maintaining margins and inventory levels.
Sibbick has been been with Stanley since March 1989 as the vice president, product manager and was responsible for dining room and occasional product line development.\ \ ORGANIZATIONS
