CONLEY, BESSIE L. Mrs. Bessie Lee Conley, age 101, died Saturday, January 11, 1992 in R.J.R. Patrick County Memorial Hospital, Stuart, Va. She was preceded in death by her husband, R. Sinclair Conley and son, Richard Lee Conley. She is survived by a nephew, James T. Tilson of Lima, Ohio; two nieces, Martha R. Martin, Stuart; Betty T. Anderson, Marion. Mrs. Conley was a 1920 graduate of the University of Chicago and worked for many years in the Smyth County Home Extention Office. She was awarded the Key to the City of Marion on the occasion of her one hundred and first birthday. She was a life long member of the Royal Oak Presbyterian Church where the funeral will be conducted by Rev. Steve Cathcart on Monday, January 13, 1992 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service at the church. Memorial donations may be made to the Marion Life Saving Crew or the Salvation Army. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
