REBELS LOSE 8TH STRAIGHT

The Roanoke Valley Rebels continued their East Coast Hockey League nosedive Saturday night against Louisville.

The Icehawks snapped a 1-1 tie with three goals in the third period to hand Roanoke Valley a 4-1 loss, the eighth straight for the Rebels.

Brett Stewart gave Roanoke Valley an early 1-0 lead with a short-handed goal midway through the first period.

Louisville tied the score at 1-1 in the second period, then scored three times in the final period in a span of less than eight minutes. Brian Cook had a goal and an assist, and Chad Biafore added three assists in the period. \
