Paula Louise Hoffman and Van Edward Anthony are engaged and planning to be married August 21, 1993. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Hoffman of Roanoke, Va. She is attending California State Unviersity, Northridge. He is a son of Robert C. Anthony of Greenbelt, Md., and Lois Beatty of Brewster, New York. He was graduated from Roanoke College, Salem, Va. He is employed by Cherrytree Software Development Corporation in Roanoke.
