WHITT, CONLEY R.

Mr. Conley Ralph Whitt, age 80, of Route 5, Hillsville passed away Sunday at his home. He was born in Carroll County to the late Charlie Whitt and Minnie Horton Whitt. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ilene Jennings Whitt; one daughter, Mrs. John (Glenna) Joyce, Hillsville; one grandson, James Joyce; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 14, at 2:30 p.m. at the Dalton Hill Christian Church with burial in the Dalton Hill Cemetery. Masonic rites will be conducted at the graveside by Hillsville Masonic Lodge No. 193. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service to lie in state under the direction of Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel in Hillsville. The family will receive friends Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Funeral Home.
