REBELS LOSE TO STORM 9-2
The Roanoke Valley Rebels made it nine in a row Saturday night, and "it" isn't victories.Sparked by Brad McCaughey's three goals, the Toledo Storm handed the Rebels their ninth consecutive East Coast Hockey League loss, 9-2, before a crowd of 4,108.
Greg Puhalski had a goal and three assists for the Storm, which scored six first-period goals against Rebels goalkeeper Mike James.
\ ICE CHIPS: Mark Woolf and Brett Stewart each had a goal for the Rebels. . . . Roanoke Valley (11-20-3) has the league's worst road record at 3-13-2 after losing its 10th straight on the road since Dec. 6. . . . The Rebels play at Raleigh on Tuesday and at Hampton Roads on Friday. They play Winston-Salem at the LancerLot in Vinton on Saturday. \
