WEST, CAUDIE E. Caudie English West, age 78, went to be with the Lord Monday, January 13, 1992. She was the widow of Harry H. West and was a life long member of Vinton Wesleyan Church. She was retired from William Byrd High School Cafeteria. She is survived by a devoted daughter, Sarah Mae West, Vinton; sons and daughters-in-law, Samuel R. and Sandra West, Vinton; Bobby H. and Sarah West, Roanoke; a brother, W. C. English, Vinton; sisters, Gladys E. Lucas, Roanoke; Ruth E. Brown, Moneta; Vera E. Hutchinson, Defiance, Ohio; five grandchildren, Ann W. Hailey and husband, O. C.; Crystal Janney; Brad West; Suzette West; Shannon West; two great-granddaughters, Micah Hailey, Aaron Hailey; four great-grandsons, Caleb Hailey, Derek Janney, Tyler Janney and Trevor Janney. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon Wednesday, January 15, 1992, from the Lotz Vinton Chapel. Dr. Flavy Brown and the Rev. Ricardo Rodriguez will officiate. Burial in Barnhardt Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Lotz Vinton Chapel from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday.
