CLINE, LEROY S. Mr. Leroy Stansell Cline, age 77, of 940 Port Republic Road
in Harrisonburg, died Monday, January 13, 1992, at the Rockingham Memorial
Hospital. A son of the late Benjamin Emmett Cline and Santa Houff Cline, he
was born on July 21, 1914, in Paw Paw, Michigan, and moved to Virginia at the
age of four. He made his home in Mt. Solon until 1938 when he came to
Harrisonburg where he had since made his home. Mr. Cline graduated from North
River High School and was retired from Merck & Co. in 1971, after 30 years of
employment. He was a member of the Mt. Sinai United Methodist Church. On
October 14, 1938, he married the former Nellie Katherine Fauls of Harrisonburg
who survives. Also surviving are two children, Charles (Chuck) Cline of Route
1, Dayton, and Katherine Cline Weaver of Harrisonburg; three grandchildren;
and one sister, Edna Ruth Horton of Newport, Va. His body was cremated at the
Lindsey Cremation Chapel and a memorial service will be held Wednesday morning
at 10:30 from the Chapel of the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home with the
Rev. Raymond D. Rowley officiating. Burial will be private. The family will
receive friends immediately following the memorial service. Friends may also
call at the Cline residence at Port Republic Road. Those desiring may make
memorial contributions to the Hospice Unit, c/o Rockingham Memorial Hospital,
235 Cantrell Avenue, Harrisonburg, Va., 22801, in his memory.
