GARLAND, COUGARS HOLD OFF PATRIOTS

Held without a field goal in the fourth quarter, Pulaski County (8-2 overall , 4-1 district) had to rely on Terri Garland's 10 free throws to hold off Patrick Henry (5-4, 2-3) , 46-38, in the Roanoke Valley District girls' game. Garland was 10-for-10 on free throws in the fourth quarter on the way to her game-high 22 points.
