CUNNINGHAM, JOHN M.John Minor Cunningham, age 67, of Salem died Monday in a local hospital. He was a 1951 graduate of Georgia Tech and a retired assistant vice-president of the Car Department of Norfolk Southern Railway. Mr. Cunningham was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and was preceded in death by his first wife, Muriel E. Cunningham. Surviving are his wife, Linda H. Vaught Cunningham; sons and daughter-in-law, John F. and Dawn Cunningham, Richmond; Bruce H. Cunningham, Roanoke; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan C. and Edwin Snyder, Troutville; Lori E. and Alan Edwards, Roanoke; grandchildren, Jason J. Cunningham, Heather D. Cunningham, and Audra Snyder. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Salvation Army or the Presbyterian Community Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Oakey's North Chapel with the Rev. David A. Kirk officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at Oakey's North Chapel.
