BLUNDIN, WELSH TOPS IN ACC
Virginia quarterback Matt Blundin, who broke four NCAA records during the 1991 season, will be presented the Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year award at the football awards banquet Feb. 14 in Baltimore, Md.Cavaliers coach George Welsh will be named coach of the year for the third time in 10 years at UVa.
Blundin didn't throw an interception in 224 attempts in the regular season, was ranked first in the ACC and fourth in the nation with a passing efficiency rating of 159.58 and connected on 135-of-224 passes for a league-leading average of .603.
